About Me

My name is Karl Zemlin.  A retired mechanical engineer and part-time professional photographer. With more than 40 years of product design experience and a dozen patents, I spent my career finding practical ways to make things work better. Zemlin Photo brings that engineering experience together with my love of photography.

About the Company

Zemlin Photo has grown organically through customer enthusiasm, recommendations, and support. Photographers sharing their experiences on BCG Forums, DPReview, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube have helped introduce my products to others around the world. Features by creators including Hudson Henry, Steve Mattheis, Scott Keys of Wildlife Inspired, and Scott West of Wild Alaska have helped spread the word. Customer feedback helps shape what I create, and their repeat business means a great deal to me.

The Story Continues...

That growth has also expanded into retail distribution in North America and the European Union, giving photographers more opportunities to discover Zemlin Photo products and purchase through regional retailers. From those retail relationships to individual customers recommending a favorite lens cap or hood, the business continues to grow through the people who use and believe in what I make.

Thanks for your interest in Zemlin Photo products.
